Comfort zones are dangerous things. Black holes of coziness, they can lure you in and strap you down like Paul Sheldon in Misery. If you’re not careful, you’ll never get out — never grow or evolve or have any adventures.
I would (and will) argue that kicking those comfort zones to the curb is one of the most important things you can do to add to your happiness. Is it challenging? Stressful? A wee bit scary? Sure, in the short term. But there’s nothing like long-term growth to make it all worthwhile.
